Jon Charles Berreau

Jon C. Berreau , 52, Adrian, MN, died Wednesday, May 14 near Lake Wilson, MN.  Services will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at the Adrian High School Gymnasium, Adrian, MN.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Adrian High School Gymnasium in Adrian and one hour prior to the service.  A private burial will be held at a later date.

Jon Charles Berreau was born September 29, 1961 to Frederic and Marilyn (Klinsing) Berreau in Slayton, MN, Murray County.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended Chandler-Lake Wilson Public Schools, graduating from Chandler-Lake Wilson High School in 1980.  He then enrolled in Southwest State University in Marshall, MN, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology in 1984.

In 1982 Jon and his brother, Dana Berreau started Blue Hilltop Inc, equipment sales located near Lake Wilson, MN.  Over the years, they sold equipment for Kuhn-Knight, Roto-Mix, Haybusters, and Schuler Equipment.

On August 23, 1986 Jon married Angelle Gnadt of Lake Wilson and they made their home in Adrian, MN.  Jon was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Adrian, serving on the church council and also the Hadley-Kenneth-Zion Parish Council.  He enjoyed golfing, Sudoku puzzles, collecting cow memorabilia, and cooking.  Jon was known for his many experiments with his cooking for family, friends and even the church congregation.  Jon also had a passion for bicycling and enjoyed the many excursions he and his family went on.

Jon will always be remembered for his subtle humor and as a loving husband, father, son and friend by all who knew him.  Jon died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 near Lake Wilson, MN at the age of 52.

Jon is survived by his wife, Angelle Berreau of Adrian, MN; twin sons, Zachary and Isaac Berreau of Adrian, MN; father, Fred (Fran) Berreau of Lake Wilson; mother, Marilyn Berreau of Adrian, MN; three brothers, Dana (Anita) Berreau of Lake Wilson, MN, Chad (Jen) Berreau of Cottage Grove, MN, and Michael (Amanda) Berreau of Lake Wilson, MN; five sisters, Lynne Okani of Minneapolis, MN, Dawn (Casey) Tomac of Sioux Falls, SD, Brenda (John) Koniar of Minneapolis, MN, Deb (Mark) Larsen of Cologne, MN, and Michelle (Ben) Scholtz of Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers-in-laws, Dennis (Mavis) Gnadt of Torrance, CA and Arlen (Marcia) Gnadt of Garretson, SD; many nieces, nephews and friends.

His brother, Frederic Allen “Ricky” Berreau, his father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Marie Gnadt and brother-in-law, Dale Gnadt preceded him in death.
